The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, will launch in the coming days the necessary actions for the creation of a sports urban circuit in the municipality.
Specifically, the Reina Sofía public park and San Rafael Park will be unified to offer citizens a complete training circuit with circuit 1k, two biosaludables stations, calisthenics station and stairs station.
The aim is that sports fans can practice outdoors, comfortably and safely, in addition to providing signals so that users know the distances they have traveled.
The works will focus on painting, placement of signs and installation of vertical signs with indications of use, as well as placement of devices for sports, taking into account at all times the accessibility of the area.
"In addition to offering new services to the population, with this initiative we intend to promote healthy habits among citizens, which will bring multiple advantages for your health," said Councilor for Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco.
In order for Lumbrerenses to learn to use all the devices that make up the bio-healthy circuit correctly, workshops are planned in the park by a specialized monitor.
Another of the improvements that the park will experience is the installation of a protective metal fence in the enclosure.
With the aim of increasing the safety of minors, the City Council will proceed to fencing the perimeter of the Reina Sofía public park enclosure.
To conclude, Juan Rubén Burrueco stressed "the importance of maintaining our public spaces in the best conditions to make their use more pleasant, being a priority to adapt them to the different conditions and needs of its users."
