The Women's Association of the Women's Center, in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, has prepared a wide and varied program of activities to commemorate the International Women's Day in the municipality.
This afternoon the program of activities was presented in an event that was attended by the coach Adela Mendiola.
The program will begin on Thursday, March 7 with the workshop 'Emotions Management' at 4:30 pm at the Vicente Ruiz Llamas Center for the Elderly.
This same workshop will be held on April 11 at the municipal offices of La Estación-Esparragal.
On March 8, International Women's Day, a cultural and artistic event will be held at 4.30 pm at the Casa de los Duendes organized by the Fundación Secretariado Gitano.
That same afternoon, special class of yoga at 7:00 pm at the Women's Center.
The central act will be on March 9 with the meeting of women in the restaurant Guirrete.
It is a day of coexistence that will include musical performances, dance classes, craft workshops, humor and magic shows.
On March 13, the City Council, in collaboration with the AMPAS of the municipality, has organized a conference 'Negotiating with the teenager is to educate' at 20:30 in the auditorium of the Cultural Center.
On the 20th, the Women's Center will host the workshop 'Avoid stress by learning to relax' at 5:00 p.m.
The program includes a cultural event of poetry, music and art under the title 'Canto de mujer libre', which will take place on March 23 at 8:30 pm at the Cultural Center.
On the other hand, from March 26 to May 28, every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m., the program "Education for Peace" will be held.
For those people who want to develop their potential through communication, they have at their disposal a workshop that will be held on March 28 at the Women's Center at 09.15h.
On March 31 will be held, in the same place, the talk 'Full attention in relationships, balance in the family' from 10.00h.
Throughout the month of March, citizens can visit the collective exhibition 'Works of women' at the Women's Center.
At the training level, they can enroll in the Mathematical Competency, Spanish Language Proficiency courses or in the 'Ecological cosmetics elaboration' workshop.
Specialized personnel of the Civil Guard will give a lecture on the consequences of the misuse of new technologies in young people on April 3 at 8:30 pm at the Cultural Center.
The program includes special classes of Pilates (April 4) and Biodanza (April 9).
The world champion of Kick-Boxing, Mª Carmen Romero, will offer a personal defense workshop on April 27 at the Multipurpose Rural Center of La Estación-Esparragal at 11.00.
On April 10, a talk will be held on 'Equality between men and women.
Prevention of gender violence 'at 20:30 at the Women's Center.
The month of May will begin with the workshop 'Prepared to educate in mindfulness' on the 6th at 8:30 pm at the Cultural Center.
On May 20 the Women's Center will host a talk on the occasion of the day against skin cancer.
The program will close on May 28 with a special kundalini yoga class at 7:00 pm at the Nogalte Castle.

The program of activities has the collaboration of Televida Tunstall, Caser Residencial, AMPAS of Puerto Lumbreras, Fundación Secretariado Gitano, Asociación Contra el Cáncer, General Directorate of Women, Llamaradas Association and Asociación Educación para la paz.
To conclude, the mayor of the town, M ª Angeles Tunis, stressed that "with this wide range of activities we seek to make visible the role and capabilities of women and, at the same time, fight and demand greater gender equality in society "
Campaign to promote trade 'March in Women'
Within the programming of the Month of Women, the Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Association of Entrepreneurs Aseplu and the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, developed throughout the month of March the trade campaign 'March in Women' , which offers discounts and promotions.
The campaign involves more than 100 shops from different sectors such as stationery, jewelry, decoration, food, fashion, optics, aesthetics, among others.
