Sunday March 17, 2017. The Cabildo de Confraternias Pasionarias de Puerto Lumbreras has announced that the preachers of Holy Week 2019 will be the mayor of the town, M ª Angeles Túnez, and the former parish priest of the town, Serafín Campoy.
The proclamation will take place on April 6, starting at 8:00 pm at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary.
The mayor of the town was "grateful and excited" for the election as a proclaimer, which will allow you to experience Easter in Lumbrerense from another perspective.
Tunisia participates actively in Holy Week since before holding public office and is a member of the Brotherhood Our Father Jesus Nazareno.
After the proclamation, the calendar of processions will begin on April 12 with the Via Crucis organized by the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Most Holy Christ of the Faith and Holy Mary of Mercy from 10 pm.
It will be followed by the children's procession organized by the Brotherhood Our Father Jesus Nazareno and María Santísima de la Esperanza on April 13 at 6:00 p.m.
On April 14 the procession of the Pueblo Hebrero will take place, departing from the Plaza de la Constitución at 11.00 hours.
On April 17, the procession of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno will be celebrated at 10 pm, and the following day will be the procession of the silence of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Christ of the Faith Stmo.
The parish Ntra Sra del Rosario has organized a Via Crucis on the morning of April 19 through the Castle of Nogalte.
That same day, at 9:00 pm, will be the procession of pain and the holy burial with the traditional meeting of arrows, organized by the Ancient and Venerable Brotherhood of the St Mary of Sorrows.
The last procession that will close the Holy Week in Lumbrerense 2019 will be that of the Encuentro on April 21 at 11.00.
