The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras develops adaptation work in different rural roads of the municipality with the aim of improving its status and accessibility.
The mayor of the town, Maria Angeles Tunisia, the councilor of Agriculture, Livestock, Water and Pedanías, José María Parra, and the councilor of Finance, Raquel Rodríguez, moved to the road Tío Félix to check the status of the works.
In particular, the work carried out includes the repair of the roads by means of 'patching' with asphalt designed to eliminate unevenness, facilitate the transit of vehicles and increase the safety of citizens.
"With this initiative we intend to improve access to housing, businesses and farms, as well as to promote communications in the rural environment." From the government team we take into account the needs of all Lumbrerenses and, therefore, we continue working so that the rural areas are endowed with the best infrastructures, "underlined Mª Ángeles Tunisia.
The works, which began on March 11, have been executed in a total of 40 roads.
Among them, highlights Moncada, Los Valencianos, Los Quintos, La Huerta or Los Francos.
It is worth mentioning that these actions are part of the Plan for the Improvement of Rural Roads, which the City Council implements every year.
In addition to these tasks, in recent months the Lumbrerense Consistory, in collaboration with the regional government, has prepared about 6,000 meters of rural roads with the complete renovation of the asphalt rolling.
