The Church of Our Lady of the Rosario welcomed the celebration of the proclamation of Holy Week that this year was in charge of the mayor of the town, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the former parish priest, Serafin Campoy.
Memories, feelings and emotion enveloped the proclamation.
The mayor recounted her personal experiences, very marked by her connection with the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Nazareno and Mara Santsima de la Esperanza.
Tunisia stressed the importance of participating in one of the greatest manifestations of faith, which commemorates the passion, death and resurrection of Christ.
Finally, the mayor called on all Lumbrerenses to live with devotion during the Holy Week of Puerto Lumbreras.
On the other hand, the former parish priest of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, Serafin Campoy, returned to the municipality to exercise, together with the mayor, the preacher of Holy Week.
The parish priest toured the Holy Week in Lumbrerense and praised the work of the three fraternities.
It should be noted that the act was enlivened by the performance of cantaor Curro Piana, guitarist Marcos Romera and the musical groups of Cristo de la Fe and Nuestro Padre Jess Nazareno.
Once the proclamation is over, the procession agenda will begin on April 11 with the Serenade to the Virgen de los Dolores.
On the following day, April 12, the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Most Holy Christ of the Faith and Mary Most Holy of Mercy organized a Via Crucis at 10 p.m.
It will be followed by the children's procession of the Brotherhood Our Father Jesus Nazareno and Mara Santsima de la Esperanza on April 13 at 6:00 p.m.
On April 14, the procession of the Pueblo Hebrero will take place, departing from the Plaza de la Constitucin at 11.00.
On April 17, the procession of Nuestro Padre Jess Nazareno will take place at 10 pm and, on the following day, the procession of the Silence of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Christ of the Faith will take place.
The parish Ntra Sra del Rosario has organized a Via Crucis on the morning of April 19 through the Castle of Nogalte.
That same day, at 9:00 pm, will be the procession of the Pain and the Holy Burial with the traditional meeting of arrows, organized by the Ancient and Venerable Brotherhood of the St Mary of Sorrows.
The last procession that will close the Holy Week in Lumbrerense 2019 will be that of the Encuentro on April 21 at 11.00.
