Today palm trees and olive branches have been the protagonists of Palm Sunday.
Numerous faithful have commemorated the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, carrying their palms on a journey that began in the Plaza de la Constitución and culminated in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary.
The musical group of drums and horns of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of the Faith and Mary Most Holy of Mercy, organizer of the act, has been commissioned to open the parade.
The Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Mª Victoria Jerez, stressed that "the Lumbrerenses increasingly demonstrate the roots of Holy Week in the municipality.Good proof of them are the many neighbors who participate every year in the processions, from the Serenade to Our Lady of Sorrows until Resurrection Sunday ".
