The Ancient and Venerable Brotherhood of the Stma Virgen de Dolores organized, one more year, the procession of the Pain and the Holy Burial.
It was a processional procession presided over by the titular image of the Blessed Virgin of Sorrows, in which the brotherhoods of Veronica and Santa Faz, Cristo Yacente and San Juan Evangelista also participated.
A banner in blue satin with the heart pierced by the sword of pain, symbol of the brotherhood, opened the procession.
The delicate sculptural piece of the Virgen de los Dolores showed the beauty of her face with deep sorrow.

It is a dress image, wood carving by Murcian sculptor J. Lozano Roca.
Inspired by that of Salzillo, an 18th century image-maker who has left great works of art in our Region.
The Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Mª Victoria Jerez, stressed that "the devotion to the Marian advocation of the Dolores is very old and deeply rooted in Puerto Lumbreras."
As is traditional, the XXI Encuentro de Saetas 'La Saeta en el Dolor' was celebrated on the night of Holy Friday.
Curro Piñana, Lidia Plaza and José Antonio Chacón were the participants of this new edition.
