The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Túnez, and the general director of the Incyde Foundation (Foundation Cameral Institute for the Creation and Development of the Company), Javier Collado, have signed an addendum to the collaboration agreement between the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the Cameral Foundation for the creation and development of a Nursery of Cultural and Creative Companies.
With this addendum, the Incyde Foundation increases to the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras by 52,744.68 Euros the FEDER grant granted for the "Business Incubator" project executed within the framework of the 2007-2013 period.
In this way, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will charge 100% of the certified investment to the European Union, which amounted to 263,723.39 euros.
In 2013, a collaboration agreement was signed between the aforementioned institutions for the creation and start-up of a business incubator to be executed by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras in its demarcation.
For this purpose, and after successive enlargement addenda, the European Commission was granted and certified ERDF aid of € 210,978.71, which represented 80% of a total executed investment of € 263,723.39.
This aid had to be completed by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras in the remaining 20%, coming from non-EU funds.
This new commitment is an extension of the funds initially allocated, since the Incyde Foundation takes over 100% of the cost of this equipment.
Business Incubators are a basic support for business consolidation, especially in its first years of life, and establish a mechanism for long-term creation and consolidation of employment, favoring competitiveness and the development of the productive fabric of the areas in which that are implanted.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, has been satisfied to have obtained 100% of the financing of the Nursery through FEDER funds.
Tunisia explained that "the Vivero is an excellent tool to promote entrepreneurship, in a few days eight new entrepreneurs will join the five already existing to host their business projects in this public building."
Tunisia has concluded that "our objective with the start-up of the Vivero is to support business vocations, help entrepreneurs and consolidate the business fabric, putting at their disposal an adequate space for them to develop their business ideas".
