The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras commemorated the International Day of Dance with exhibitions and dance performances by different academies and local collectives.
From 17:30, the Queen Sofia Park hosted this event that included the participation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Movilín Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Teresa Lazareno dance academy, Riá Pitá dance academy, and Virgen del Rosario Choirs and Dances.
The Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Mª Victoria Jerez, stressed that "with this initiative we intend to attract attention to this artistic activity, give greater prominence and bring together all those who enjoy dancing as a means of expression."
More than 200 dancers gathered at this event to perform dances of different modalities such as flamenco, contemporary and popular dances.
The activity also included demonstration reading and an exhibition of rhythmic gymnastics with dance steps that amazed the audience.
