Clínica Puerto Lumbreras has delivered, as a collaboration with the City Council, a semiautomatic defibrillator to the Civil Protection and Emergencies service of Puerto Lumbreras.
From now on, Civil Protection will improve even more its attention to the citizens with the incorporation of a new defibrillator of last generation.
Previously, members of Civil Protection have attended training sessions for the use of this mechanism.
The Civil Protection service already had a defibrillating device, but with this donation the material endowment is reinforced.
The Councilor for Public Safety, Dolores Arenas, stressed that "with the delivery of the new device, which will be located in an intervention car, the Civil Protection service is more prepared to act in case of an emergency, since with the defibrillator you can save lives in case of cardiac arrest ".
The device has a central DEA LIFELINK Administration program, with which you can monitor the AED self-test, thus controlling the status of each defibrillator, a device that sends the intervention data to the services of doctors and hospitals.
The defibrillator, through its internal LIFELINK central administration program, monitors the external defibrillator whenever it is connected to a mobile data network or Wi-Fi, by means of which it will warn of possible incidents that may affect the availability status of the defibrillator, the warnings they are completely automatic, which helps reduce the work and the cost of maintaining your defibrillator, while increasing the availability and effectiveness of your defibrillator.
It should be noted that this defibrillator uses simple graphics, with voice instructions and automatic functions that help users remain focused on resuscitation.
This device can be used both for intervention with adults and children.
Arenas stressed that "it is essential to promote and promote the altruistic work of Civil Protection groups, as they are essential pieces when dealing with and resolving emergency situations."
With the incorporation of this defibrillator, there are about ten that are distributed in the different public facilities of the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
