The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Túnez, has presented the diplomas to the students of the mixed employment and training program.
After 12 months of theoretical and practical training, the employment program in which 18 lumbrerenses participated has ended this week.
This mixed program consisted of cleaning tasks in streets, parks and gardens of the historic center, urban center and districts.
In addition, the program also included washing and disinfection work in public buildings and industrial facilities for the improvement of sanitation, hygiene and quality of life conditions for lumbrerenses, as well as urban environmental quality.
The project, which facilitated labor insertion, allows participants to alternate learning and qualification with productive work.
During the development of the program, the students received guidance, advice and professional information that enables them both to search for employment for others and for the establishment on their own.
The mayor of the town congratulated the students for successfully completing the training and stressed that "this program not only provides training but also real professional experience and new job opportunities, with adequate training, and a degree that supports it. , it is essential to be able to access the labor market or, even, stay in it ", assured Tunisia.
The program has been subsidized by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia (SEF) with an investment of 281.786.22 euros.
To conclude, the mayor thanked the work done by all participants in the project and stressed that "with this initiative, in addition to providing participants with training for employment, has greatly improved the image and appearance of our streets , parks and avenues with the cleaning tasks carried out by the students ".
