The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Túnez, and the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco, supervised this morning the remodeling actions that are being carried out on the athletics track.
The works are being developed in a total area of ​​3,614 square meters and contemplate the asphalting of the entire site, as well as the placement of synthetic pavement on the asphalt.
The track will have a four-lane ring, a six-lane 120-meter straight, a long jump and triple lane with a fall pit.
In the same way, the project includes provision of sports equipment for the practice of athletics.
In this sense, a whipping table will be placed for jumps;
a pole box;
a competition exit cue;
a cage for throwing of weight, disc and hammer;
fence for four meters regulation obstacles;
Pole drop zone;
pole vaultometer;
pole made of fiberglass;
billboards with counterweight;
a disk launch circle will be supplied;
mobile weight container;
competition weights;
launch discs;
throwing hammers;
javelins with different weights;
trampoline for training;
and a stand of 30 square meters to store all the material.
The budget of the work amounts to 245,650, 01 euros and has a deadline of one and a half months.
