The Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the National Police of Lorca, has arrested the two alleged perpetrators of a robbery in a house.
Both were in an irregular situation in Spain, one of them having an expulsion order in force.
On the afternoon of May 9, an agent of the Local Police, who was out of service, noticed the presence of two individuals in a suspicious manner in the vicinity of a home in Puerto Lumbreras, which they intended to steal.
The agent contacted the colleagues who were on duty to inform them of the situation.
When the Local Police Patrol appeared, the suspects began an escape on foot through several streets of the municipality.
After the persecution, one of the suspects was intercepted.
The other individual was intercepted by two National Police officers who were in the area and, seeing what was happening, they agreed to collaborate with the Local Police agents.
Facilitated the description of the other suspect, they located it near the place of the facts.
Subsequently, and with the help of the National Police agents, a Volkswagen Golf vehicle, which had been used by the suspects and was stolen, was located near the site.
Inside the vehicle they located numerous objects that came from a house in which they just stole that same afternoon in Puerto Lumbreras.
The two detained individuals, of Moroccan nationality, resided in the Águilas municipality and were in an irregular situation in Spain, one of them having an expulsion order in force, as well as numerous records of robbery with force.
It is suspected that they are the alleged perpetrators of numerous robberies in rural areas and neighboring municipalities
