The project of the Area of ​​Regeneration and Urban Renewal (ARRU) of the Housing Plan, developed by the Autonomous Community, has made possible that 63 families of the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras have been able to rehabilitate their homes with public aid amounting to more than 81,000 euros.
The General Director of Planning, Architecture and Housing, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, and the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, María Ángeles Túnez, accompanied by the technical team and the neighbors, made an inspection visit to the works carried out in three buildings.
Fernández Lladó stressed that "these actions significantly improve the conditions of habitability, that these 63 families have more quality of life, and the creation of jobs in sectors related to construction."
One of those rehabilitated buildings, located on San Isidro Street, has improved the structure, the roof and the facade of the building.
For this, it has acted in expansion joints, roof and facade, among others.
We also visited the conservation works developed in a single-family house, located on 7 de Julio Street.
The rehabilitation has focused on the façade through the chopping, the replacement of carpentry and railings and the renovation of the base, while the roof has been renovated, where thermal insulation and downspouts have been installed.
Likewise, the accessibility of a building on the Región Murciana avenue has been improved in order to increase the autonomy of people with disabilities and reduced mobility.
An elevator and an access ramp have been installed in the portal of a three-storey building, a basement and the roof.
