This week the School Committee of Early Childhood and Primary Education 2019-2020 of the municipality met at the Women's Center of Puerto Lumbreras, headed by Mayor María Ángeles Tunisia and the Councilor for Education during the last term;
Sonia López López.
It was attended by representatives of the different educational centers, and it dealt with matters related to the final adjustments of the ordinary phase of schooling.
The next meeting will take place next July 10 to resolve pending cases of adjudication.
The 2019-2020 academic year will have 1733 students in the 4 public and primary schools of Puerto Lumbreras, and 205 will be new.
Regarding Secondary, the IES Rambla de Nogalte will have 1025 students, of which 171 are of Middle and Higher Level, and 44 of Basic Vocational Training.
In total, there will be almost 3000 students who study in Puerto Lumbreras in the course that will begin next September.
