The courtyard of the Cultural Center was filled this Friday night to witness the XX Flamenco Festival of the Riá Pitá Association with the collaboration of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.
An event whose entrance was free, and choreographed by Mercedes Carrillo and Carmen Avilés, and original idea of ​​Mari Carmen Martínez and Ana Belén Morillas.
The story this year was about the festival was the gypsy legend "Son of the Moon".
Legend has it that a gypsy made a pact with the moon to fall in love with the man she loved and for whom she was not reciprocated.
The moon promised eternal love but in return he asked for the first child that the couple had.
The three most adult groups of Ría Pitá participated, with 50 students who performed 14 dances with different styles of flamenco, and as always, in addition to the choreographies performed with complete skill and professionalism, the interpretation was very present in each scene of the story .
