The municipality of Puerto Lumbreras celebrates this year the 61st edition of the Election and Coronation Gala "Baile de la Reina".
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, the councilor of Festejos, Juan Rubén Burrueco, and the councilman of Youth, José Manuel Sánchez, have been accompanied by the 6 ladies who will opt for the crown of Queen of the Holidays 2019, and for the Queen of the Parties 2018, Ana García, at the presentation ceremony.
The appointment will take place on Saturday, September 7 from 11 p.m. on the esplanade of the Municipal Sports Center.
As in previous editions, before starting the gala, the official reception of the ladies will be held at the Casa de los Duendes Cultural Center.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "this year we have 6 candidates, a show of youth, beauty and sympathy, and also the best ambassadors of the traditions and culture of Puerto Lumbreras."
This new edition will be dedicated to the "steampunk" movement;
artistic and sociocultural.
The steampunk unfolds in an environment where steam technology is still predominant and usually located in England during the Victorian era, where it is not uncommon to find common elements of science fiction or fantasy.
The idea arises from the winning float of the Parade of Floats of the patron celebrations of last year.
In addition, the soundtrack of this edition will be the mythical British band 'Queen'.
Attendees can enjoy great hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, `` I want to break free '', `the show must go on 'or' don't stop me now '.
The ones in charge of conducting the gala, in which massive assistance is planned as in previous editions, will be the showman Carlos Chova and the vedette and singer Alba.
Regarding the technical characteristics, the Gala de la Baile de la Reina 2019 will feature a walkway of more than 50 meters in length and a stage of more than 170 square meters and 300,000 watts of light and sound.
There will also be giant screens and different shows that will surprise all attendees.
To end the evening, the Queen of the Parties 2018, Ana García, will give the crown to one of the candidates who this year aspire to be elected by popular vote.
The ladies are Elena Artero, Cristina López, Nerea López, Marina Millán, María Navarro and Lidia Muñoz. After the election of the new Queen, she will play the Guateque Club Band, formed by the musicians who accompany David Otero;
"Pescao."
The coronation gala will close with the traditional waltz, chaired by the new queen, in which all the ladies accompanied by their respective dams will participate.
It should be noted that this event is organized by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and is sponsored by Lirola-Napal, Alimer, Moyca, Caudal and the Irrigation Community of Puerto Lumbreras.
