The Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras has arrested six people of gypsy ethnicity, for stealing a large number of items in two supermarkets.
The events happened around 7:00 pm last Friday, when the agents were performing surveillance service by the population, they received a call from the manager of a well-known supermarket, informing them that they had seen some clients who had left the establishment without buying anything , with a suspicious attitude and trying to talk to them, they had ridden in a silver-gray car and marched at high speed.
After conducting a search by the population, the patrol managed to locate a vehicle that matched the description given to the agents.
After a slight chase, they intercepted the vehicle on Avenida Adolfo Suarez in the town of Lumbrerense.
Once the vehicle was registered, the agents verified that it carried a large number of food products, which still retained the cold of having been refrigerated and given the incoherent responses that the occupants of the vehicle gave of their origin and in the absence of any purchase ticket , decided to transfer them to the police units for identification and clarification of the facts.
Once at the police offices, the agents contacted the supermarket manager, who made the notice acknowledging that part of the products came from his establishment.
Then they continued making arrangements and managed to find out that the rest of the products came from another supermarket.
Once contacted the person in charge of the other establishment, he informed that these people had been in the supermarket and had left quickly without acquiring anything.
After observing the stolen items, he was able to prove that they had been taken from the supermarket he runs.
Once identified, it was found that the detainees come from Seville and although currently none have any pending review, if they have a large number of records for theft inside shops, in the area of ​​Levante and Andalusia.
