The Government team of the municipal group of the Popular Party officially announces that the VOX municipal group in the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has broken the government pact with the PP municipal group, signed last June for the 2019-2023 legislature.
This agreement consisted of 21 points, of which according to sources of the Popular municipal group, 71'42 percent (15 of the 21 points indicated) have been fulfilled.
This pact is broken by the excessive demands of the VOX group, including the request for resignation of the mayor and the councilor of the Treasury, and the impossibility of carrying them out.
And after that rupture of the Government agreement, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has announced the cessation of the government functions of the VOX councilor Inma García Arcos, who until now held the position of 2nd Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Public Works and Municipal Services
These powers will be assumed by Mayor María Ángeles Tunisia until an upcoming restructuring of the Government team, which is made up of the 8 councilors of the Popular Party.
The municipal group of the Popular Party in the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has tried by all means to keep the government pact in force, but given the impossibility of redirecting the situation, Mayor María Ángeles Tunisia has lost confidence in the VOX councilor, and therefore he withdraws the powers and tenure of mayor that he held after the signing of the agreement.
