The councilor of government of VOX in Puerto Lumbreras (Murcia), Inmaculada García, has been dismissed by the mayor of the PP, María de los Ángeles Tunisia, without claiming reasons that justify such decision except a brief allusion to "loss of trust."
After the agreement of Government in the locality, Inmaculada García was appointed councilor of Public Works and Municipal Services, a position that requires the signing of contract invoices made between the municipality and private companies.
The mayor of VOX has been verbally requesting the rest of the members of the municipal government team -all of the PP- and the city council officials information about the contracts and the payment of bills.
Information that was systematically denied.
Given these refusals, Inmaculada García submitted the request in writing through the City Council registry.
The response of the popular mayor has been to cease her as a member of the municipal government team.
The VOX councilor automatically goes to the opposition, from where she will continue to request the information that the government team is systematically denying and will denounce all kinds of attitudes, such as this one, that seek to hide the reality of municipal contracting.
VOX's commitment is clear in this regard and will not participate or consent to behaviors of this type that generate suspicions among citizens about possible irregularities in the public administration.
Immaculate Garcia will continue to fulfill the commitment with the voters who trusted VOX to change municipal policies and work for the well-being of the residents of Puerto Lumbreras.
This response by the Popular Party will lead VOX to rethink the current government agreements that the two parties maintain in the Region of Murcia.
