The municipality of Puerto Lumbreras celebrated the Hispanic Day today with the raising of the Spanish flag.
The tribute to the flag, which was held in the gardens of Paco Rabal, featured the performance of the Municipal Music Band.
As is tradition, the government team, chaired by the mayor, was present at this event, which was also attended by members of the Civil Guard, Local Police and numerous citizens.
The local mayor, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, said that "it is a pride to commemorate the national holiday in Puerto Lumbreras for another year. Today is a good day to remember the democratic values that unite us and what our Constitution represents."
At the end of the act, the body of the Civil Guard celebrated the day of its patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar, with a mass in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary.
