Puerto Lumbreras hosted this Saturday the XI Popular Urban Mile and XXVI Popular Race 'City of Puerto Lumbreras'.
As every year, dozens of young people from 0-4 years to Veterans participated in this classic sporting event, with departure and finish in Pedro García Rubio Avenue from 5:00 p.m., and with free registration.
In total there were more than 200 participants who gathered.
Among the runners, athletes from different municipalities of the Region and other nearby provinces met.
The competition was played in the categories petates (born in 2014 and later, 200 meters), prebenjamín (born in 2012 and 2013, 400 meters), benjamines (born in 2010 and 2011, 1000 meters), and fry, children, cadets, youth, junior, promises, senior and master male and female, who had to travel 1,609 meters.
At the end of the event, trophies were given for the first three classified in each category and medals from those born in 2014 to fry.
The test was organized by the Department of Physical Activity and Sports of the City of Puerto Lumbreras.
