The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the group of Choirs and Dances 'Virgen del Rosario' of this same municipality have signed a collaboration agreement whereby the group will receive the financial contribution of 5,000 euros.

With the aim of promoting the customs, folklore, dances and popular music of the Region as well as the organization of cultural events, such as the celebration of the International Folklore Festival that takes place every year during the summer months within the Cultural Walnut programming.

Choirs and Dances "Virgen del Rosario" also works on the recovery of traditions and customs.

Thus, at this time the group is working on the recovery and enhancement of the traditional costumes used by our ancestors.

This task will be possible thanks to the effort and commitment of the group and to the subsidy received by the Campoder Rural Development Association.

"We thus show our commitment to this important Lumbrerean group since they contribute not only to the recovery of local traditions, but also to the tourist promotion of our municipality inside and outside Spain", according to the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras;
