The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will provide the Municipal Cemetery of San Damián, located in the district of El Esparragal, with a funeral pavilion for a total of 90 niches and urbanization, whose works have already begun, with an execution period of 3 months and a budget of 32,000 euros.
It is a new pavilion with a rectangular shape, and an area of ​​77'50 square meters.
Thus, the Mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, accompanied by the Councilor for Rural Development and Pedanías, Francisco Gázquez, have visited the works that are being carried out to supervise their status.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, María Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "with this measure we intend to continue the improvement plans that we have been developing in the municipal cemetery so that the facilities are in perfect condition throughout the year."
Without going any further, the City Council has prepared a special device with improvement and conditioning work in the municipal cemetery on the occasion of the arrival of the festival of All Saints on Friday, November 1, intensifying the usual work during the previous weeks during All year gardening, cleaning, painting and lighting.
In addition, a thousand parking spaces will be available within the cemetery, and there will be a special bus service with stops located in Avenida de Almería, Avenida Región Murciana, Calle Limoneros, La Ermita and La Estación.
In the same way, security will be reinforced with the presence of a greater number of Local Police agents to control the parking and regulate traffic at the entrances and exit of the cemetery.
It should be noted that a Mass is scheduled to be held at the Cemetery on November 1 at 5:00 p.m.
