The municipal group of the Popular Party in the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will fully take a motion to request collaboration from the ADILOR association, for the installation of glucometers in the educational and sports centers of the municipality, as well as collaboration for the training of center staff for the use of them.
A measure to improve the autonomy of people with diabetes and their quality of life.
Likewise, the popular municipal group will request that the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras support the Regional and National Government to develop policies that improve diabetes education and training for patients and health professionals, the early detection of diabetes and the fight against obesity. Elimination of any discrimination, and that investment in diabetes research be encouraged and increased.
An application that coincides with World Diabetes Day, which is celebrated today November 14, and in which an appeal is made to all the agents involved in the fight against diabetes, to improve the quality of life of those affected and reduce the increase in the prevalence of pathology.
