The Association for Rural Development 'Campoder', within the Rural Development Program of the Region of Murcia 2014-2020, for projects not programmed in the Participatory Rural Development Strategies, has approved the granting of LEADER grants, with support from EAFRD, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment.
One of these projects is about the improvement of the New Technologies Classroom in order to contribute to the reduction of the digital divide in Rural Pedanías.
This is the specific case of the Library of La Estación-Esparragal, where among other actions, thanks to these grants, an investment of 18,120 euros will be carried out to modernize and incorporate new computer equipment into the new technology room.
A project that the session will take to tender soon.
"With this measure, we promote connectivity and continue betting on guaranteeing equal opportunities for all Lumbrereans regardless of their place of residence," said the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras;

This action is added to those already executed through the selective process of 2017, in which the Campoder Association granted aid for a total amount exceeding 100,000 euros to implement a video surveillance system in the environment of Medina Nogalte, promoting tourism rural scientific and renovate and adapt the environment of the Church and Municipal Public Park of the urban nucleus.
The Association for Rural Development Campoder has been working since 2000 for the integral and sustainable development of the rural territory and does so jointly with all the socioeconomic agents in the area and through a series of programs and projects, always focused on the rural environment.
