The Regional Ministry of Health of the Regional Government will subsidize several drug prevention projects, aimed at young people, adolescents, fathers and mothers of Puerto Lumbreras, and that organizes Social Services of the municipality in collaboration with the Department of Education and Youth.
It will be launched in the first four months of next year 2020.
One of these projects is called ARGOS, and it will work with students in 1st and 2nd ESO in the problematic classroom of drugs, especially alcohol.
Subsequently, students will travel by bus to the Health Center, where professionals will inform them of the risks associated with drugs from a health point of view.
This will be the third consecutive year that this initiative is carried out.
The second project is "prevent from small", and it is an online course for fathers and mothers, which is carried out through a platform of the Ministry (e-drogas.es).
The Puerto Lumbreras City Council will promote and publicize this activity among the parents.
The third project is of alternative leisure, and includes alternative workshops (masks, juggling, recycling of paper, leather, stories, tinting of t-shirts, works with threads, etc.), board games (Trivial, chess, checkers, parcheesi, taboo, cards and ping-pong, among others), sports activities (basketball, football, handball, swimming, etc.), Health activities and specific activities such as cultural outings, environmental routes, cinema or exhibitions.
To carry out the "prevent from small" and alternative leisure projects, an educator or leisure and free time monitor will be hired through Local Initiatives.
