Puerto Lumbreras is consolidated at the head of the most dynamic municipalities and employment generators in the Region of Murcia.
The total volume of unemployed in the municipality reached the end of November 2019 the figure of 667 unemployed, with a decrease of almost 3 points (2.91%) compared to the previous month.
The municipality continues to increase its positive data, in contrast to national data, since while unemployment drops in Puerto Lumbreras, in Spain it rose by more than 20,000 people in November.
The local unemployment registered in the month of November of this year has fallen compared to the same month of 2018, assuming a decrease of 0.74% year-on-year.
The figure remains at the lowest levels of the last 10 years.
With this, the unemployment rate in November 2019 in Puerto Lumbreras stands at 6.20%, well below the national figure that exceeds 14%.
And it continues its tendency to fall in the last 7 years, since the number of unemployed in November 2019 with respect to the same period of 2012 has fallen by more than 37% (395 people).
On the other hand, the number of affiliations according to Social Security data in October 2019 was 4819, assuming a growth of 5.25% monthly (245 more) compared to September of this year, and of 2.62% year-on-year with 123 more affiliations compared to the same month of 2018.
The figure has risen 8'22% in the last 5 years (366 more affiliations).
46% belong to the General Regime, 26'27% to the agrarian regime and 27% are autonomous.
