Technicians from the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), under the Ministry for Ecological Transition, have carried out a visit to the Rambla del Murciano in Puerto Lumbreras, at the request of the municipal council and specifically the councilor for Agriculture, Livestock, Water and Sustainable Development;
César Gázquez.
The objective from the City Council is to carry out a series of actions in the Rambla del Murciano with the objective of preventing future floods from affecting the homes in the area and the urban center of La Estación-Esparragal, and ensuring the safety of the neighbors on the banks of the boulevard.
In this way, technicians from the City Council and the councilor responsible for the matter explained the needs for actions after the damage that DANA caused on the Rambla del Murciano last September.
Specifically, these actions would be the conditioning and installation of breakwaters in the ravine channel, reinforcement of retaining walls and drainage of the ravine so that the channel returns to its original state.
The councilor responsible for the matter, César Gázquez, explained that "these tasks are essential to ensure the safety of the neighbors on the banks of the waterfront to torrential rains."
