The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has hired 3 half-day cleaning laborers for 6 months to clean and disinfect the tourist infrastructure and real estate of the municipality, and 2 full-time administrative assistants, whose main task is to help the town hall technicians to implement motivational actions and promotion of entrepreneurial culture, workshops, etc.
This initiative is executed through two local public employment projects "Limpiatour II" and "Lumbreras Emprendedora II", which allow the hiring of unemployed people in the municipality.
The Councilor for Employment, José Manuel Sánchez, stressed that "we continue to promote these types of initiatives that encourage job creation to continue reducing the local unemployment rate, which is currently at 6.20%, well below the national average. "
These two projects have a total grant of 35,000 euros, which includes total labor costs, including the social security business contribution for all concepts.
These programs are subsidized by the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment, the Regional Employment and Training Service and the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security, being the promoter being the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
