More than 200 people gathered last Sunday, January 5 in the morning at the Puerto Lumbreras Municipal Sports Center to participate in the IX Ascent to the Sima 'Cabezo de la Jara'.
This edition has been in non-competitive mode, in a solidarity race that this year will allocate all the money raised to the Puerto Lumbreras Village Association.
In a relaxed and familiar environment, participants were able to choose between the modalities of hiking, mountain biking and running to make this route to one of the highest points of the municipality of Lumbrerense.
With supplies at different points of the route and at the Municipal Sports Center at the end of the test, the organization made available two buses for the return from the Yellow House to the Sports Center, where there was also a raffle of gifts from many local shops that They wanted to collaborate with the event.
The sporting event has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the MTB Club Cabezo de la Jara and the Department of Physical Activity and Sports of Puerto Lumbreras, volunteers, Local Police and Civil Protection of Puerto Lumbreras.
