The summer pools sold almost a thousand more tickets than in 2018
Sports clubs that use municipal facilities bring together more than 1000 athletes
Tuesday, January 14, 2019. The Puerto Lumbreras Sports Center last year increased its number of users compared to 2018, both in swimming pool and gym users.
Although in the courses, among which adult swimming, therapeutic swimming, infant swimming and aquasalud among others, the number of registered was the same in both years (900 people), the free entry to the pool had 400 more users in 2019, going from 3450 to 3850 (almost 12 percent more).
It should be noted that on the first weekend of each month, the pool is open Saturday all day and Sunday morning.
Apart from water activities, the Sports Center also has a gym with two rooms;
one with completely renewed bodybuilding machinery, and another self-loading room, which saw its influx increased remarkably thanks to these improvements, by more than 600 percent.
In addition to private users, the Municipal Sports Center serves various entities that carry out their activities in sports facilities, both in the pool, as sports courts, pavilion and gymnasium, such as the IES Rambla de Nogalte or ADICA disabled associations , APAFA and DOWN Lorca.
We must also highlight the service given to the different sports clubs of Puerto Lumbreras in the different facilities of the municipality, such as rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, football, futsal, basketball, handball, athletics, cycling or synchronized swimming, adding between All more than 1000 athletes.
The summer pools register almost 1000 users more than the previous year
As for the municipal summer swimming pools, during the months of July and August, courses were held for Child Swimming, Therapeutic Swimming and Aquasalud, with almost 360 users, also higher than 2018. As for the sale of tickets, in 2019, about 500 more adult entries and 330 more children were registered, totaling 40 percent more than the previous year.
It should be noted that last year the areas of shade in the pool were increased, due to the installation of numerous tents, and on young Tuesdays they were a success of influx, where numerous leisure activities were carried out.
