Wednesday, January 22, 2019. The Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, through the General Directorate of Water of the Ministry of Water and Agriculture, has subsidized the works of repair of the damages of the public road "The Cemetery" to its I pass by the Rambla de El Murciano, located in the Lumbrerense district of La Esparragal Station.
This is one of the roads that were most affected as a result of the deterioration caused by the floods last September in Puerto Lumbreras, with an approximate cost of the works exceeding 43,000 euros.
"The actions have consisted of the repair of the road and reinforcement based on the placement of stone and concrete to consolidate the affected area, so that in case of future torrential rains the concrete slab is not re-removed or damage occurs," said César Gázquez, Councilor for Agriculture and Water.
As a result of the torrential rains produced by the DANA of the past 12,13 and September 14, the Regional Government Water and Agriculture Minister made an inspection visit to the damaged roads, the Cemetery path being a step of I walk along the boulevard and pass essential for the school bus line.
In this visit the state of the road was verified, observing that it suffered damages that required an urgent repair, since it gives access to houses and agricultural exploitations being its state after the impassable floods, and finalizing the works of arrangement and improvement of the same in the Time and form announced.
