The Ministry of Tourism, Youth and Sports coordinates with Puerto Lumbreras City Council actions to enhance the archaeological heritage and promote the tourist resources of the municipality.
The director of the Tourism Institute, Juan Francisco Martínez, met today with the mayor of the town, María Ángeles Tunisia, to develop joint actions aimed at promoting values ​​such as the Medina-Nogalte complex and its cave houses, as well as the surroundings of the Cabezo de la Jara.
During this meeting, they also addressed issues such as promoting the network of natural trails for hiking and cycling, as well as the possibility of organizing courses at the Tourist Qualification Center (CCT) in the municipality, within the strategy of training decentralization in the field of hospitality.
Martínez visited emblematic places of Puerto Lumberas and the Cabezo de la Jara Astronomical Observatory, located seven kilometers from the municipality.
