| One more year this program is launched from the Department of Education and Citizen Security, although adapted to the circumstances it imposes the current alarm state | The Department of Citizen Security and the Department of Education, together with the Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras, has launched the Road Education program for another year with the aim of transmitting good driving practices.
But this time, and for the first time since 2012, this training will be online from home due to the state of alarm due to a health alert, and can be followed on the web www.puertolumbreras.es/dgt by accessing through Internet Explorer. It is an interactive material provided by the General Directorate of Traffic, and through which the faculties and abilities of minors on how to behave on public roads are developed or perfected.
Participants also gain knowledge of road safety, traffic regulations, road signs and consequences of accidents. The Councilor for Education, José Manuel Sánchez, stressed that "it is important for children to become aware of road safety regulations with the aim of preventing accidents and raising awareness among young people of good driving habits." These Didactic Guides of Road Education directed to students of Infant Education and first and second cycle of Primary, include, among other material, interactive games where the little ones will be able to simulate the behaviors and skills when circulating on public roads.
