| The Regional Government will allocate 96,139 euros to the city council to improve services and care for women victims of gender violence | Saturday, May 16, 2020 The Puerto Lumbreras City Council, continuing with the Plan for the economic reactivation of the municipality and support for neighbors, families, businesses and companies affected by the health crisis of COVID-19, has increased resources for the care of women victims of gender violence. The Regional Government will allocate a grant of 96,139.18 euros to the Puerto Lumbreras City Council, employed to maintain the continuity of the technical staff of the Center for Attention to Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI) of the municipality.
In this way, it tries to finance the expenses of the personnel derived from the provision of services and programs in relation to the care of women victims of gender violence. On the other hand, it is considered as a priority objective to improve and expand the programs, projects and activities that Local Corporations undertake and that contribute to make effective the support to the victims.
These measures aim to ensure that women victims of gender-based violence are able to overcome the consequences of abuse and face their lives independently, equipping them with the necessary psychological skills and needs. In addition, the Puerto Lumbreras Center for Attention to Victims of Gender Violence continues to be open during the State of Alarm with telephone assistance for users and in coordination with the CAVI Regional Network.
The hours of operation are from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m.
in person by appointment and Wednesday from 4:00 p.m.
to 5:00 p.m., through the telephone numbers 968 40 21 60, 652 90 22 50 and 652 90 22 84, although in emergency cases, call 112 and 016, operating 24 hours a day.
