Martínez has exposed all the economic and fiscal measures approved at the local level and the policies to support trade, "which have been very well received by both merchants and the Ministry", and has announced that from the department "We are going to launch and soon distribute a video to promote purchases in Puerto Lumbreras establishments, and the security guarantees offered by businesses in the municipality, under the motto #YoComproEnElPuerto ". The Community has launched a retail trade revival plan that is made up of 3 axes: digital transformation and local commerce, advice to merchants and promotion and revitalization actions.
One of the main innovations is a regional marketplace that "will allow all local businesses to join the digitization and will give national and international visibility to the products of all Murcia establishments and, at the same time, greater competitiveness and promotion of local purchases.
through Internet sales ", highlights Rocío Martínez.
This initiative will be a complement to the regional platform promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras and CECLOR to which several local companies have already adhered; to increase the positioning, brand image and small business sales.
"It is necessary that these shops be provided with advice and face-to-face training, in addition to technical assistance and important promotion and dissemination, to make these tools an easy instrument and in turn enhance trade," says the councilor. From the Puerto Lumbreras City Council, it has been requested that the subsidy with funds from the Ministry of Industry and Spokesperson for this purpose be extended so that in addition to 2020, the regional platform will continue to be free for merchants in 2021, since "this economic crisis is not going to be only during these 6 months but it can last much longer, so it is of utmost importance that funds be provided to this initiative and thus support local trade, strengthen these sales channels and that the companies remain in them to capitalize on the possibilities offered by electronic commerce ". On the other hand, from the regional government it has been reported that microcredits will be granted to merchants called "COVID-merchants" that will be launched in the coming weeks to give liquidity to these small companies, and the amount of subsidies to merchant associations, increasing them to around 230,000 euros.
The call will be out in approximately 1 month. Among other measures, there will also be a call for innovation and digitization of the hospitality premises, and regular meetings will continue to be held between the Ministry, the General Directorate and the Department of Commerce of the different municipalities of the Region, to make a common of the measures carried out in each municipality, and work in a joint line.
