The asphalting of streets throughout the municipality, placement of lighting fixtures, improvement of the rainwater collector and execution of funeral pavilions, among other projects, will be carried out. The Puerto Lumbreras City Council today started the process for the approval of the Works and Services Plan 2020-2021 for which the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia has awarded a grant of more than 280,000 euros to the municipal session, and which will be carried out thanks to the joint work of both administrations.
Next Tuesday it will be taken to the local Government Board to continue its processing.
This project includes the asphalting of almost 28,000 square meters in all districts, neighborhoods and areas of the town, always attending to the requests of citizens, the placement of 53 lights on public roads, as well as the improvement of the collector of rainwater located on Vicente Ruiz Llamas street, to avoid complications from heavy rains, and take advantage of that water to irrigate our fields. The execution of 108 funeral pavilions in the municipal cemetery is also contemplated, "among other improvements that meet the needs and demands of our neighbors," said the Councilor for Works and Services César Gázquez, after holding the information commission on Urban Planning.
