The local council explains to parents the prevention and safety measures set by the Ministry of Education for the restart of face-to-face classes, as well as the various tasks of disinfection, maintenance and arrangements that have been carried out in the Lumbrerenses schools The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras; María Ángeles Tunisia, and the Councilor for Education; José Manuel Sánchez, have held various meetings with the Mothers and Fathers Associations of the five schools in the municipality: Asunción Jordán, Juan Antonio López Alcaraz, Sagrado Corazón, Purísima Concepción and Lideria. The City Council has discussed with the AMPAs the general lines to take into account for the start of the next school year, scheduled to start in early September in person.

For this, the measures published by the mixed commission of the Ministries of Education and Culture and Health of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia have been explained, in order to prevent and avoid possible infections by COVID-19, meet educational objectives and socializing and promoting the optimal development of childhood and adolescence.

"This guide establishes a series of prevention and hygiene measures that allow the development of teaching activity in a safe school environment for all members of the educational community, minimizing the risk as much as possible," said the Councilor for Education;José Manuel Sánchez.

Next week the round of meetings with the AMPA of the Rambla de Nogalte Institute of Secondary Education will end, and in the near future there will also be a sharing of these measures with the directors of the different educational centers of Puerto Lumbreras. The different tasks of disinfection and cleaning, maintenance and repair that the City Council has carried out in schools since the start of the state of alarm and taking advantage of the suspension of classroom classes have also been transferred to the municipal consistory.
