| All students from the 2nd Baccalaureate of the IES Rambla de Nogalte pass the course | 10 higher education students obtain honors in 2019/2020 The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras; María Ángeles Tunisia, and the Councilor for Education; José Manuel Sánchez, received this morning at the Cultural Civic Center 8 students from the 2nd year of Bachillerato and 2 students from the Higher Degree Cycles of Administration and Finance and Physical Conditioning of the IES Rambla de Nogalte, who have obtained honors in the 2019/2020 course: Elena Castellón, José Carlos Pedrero, Elisabet Artero, Almudena Fernández, Cristina García, José Carlos Guirado, Rocío Pérez, María Reverte, Elena Chavdarova and Ana Martínez.
"A mention achieved with much effort and tenacity since it involves obtaining the highest marks in all subjects," said the Councilor for Education; José Manuel Sánchez. Of the 70 students from Puerto Rico who took the entrance exams to the EBAU University, 90 percent (63) have passed them, especially highlighting Elena Castellón Salinas, who will study Medicine, with the highest score in the municipality: 13'554 over 14. On the other hand, 100 percent of the students of the IES Rambla de Nogalte in Puerto Lumbreras have passed the Baccalaureate and will obtain their accrediting degree.
The Councilor for Education congratulated everyone for these good results: "despite the situation imposed by the health crisis due to COVID-19, the students of the town have shown that they are up to the task.
We will have some great professionals in the future, "he said.
