The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has transferred the ownership of a branch of the A-7 motorway to the Puerto Lumbreras City Council (Murcia), which entails the modification of the State Highway Network. The Puerto Lumbreras City Council, on November 26, 2019, requested the Ministry of Development, current Mitma, to transfer ownership of a branch of the A-7 motorway, under the conditions established in Law 37/2015.
Once the compliance with the legally established requirements was proven, Mitma considered it appropriate to agree to the request. The file contemplates the transfer without charge of a branch of the A-7 motorway, existing at pk 649,510, connecting to the N-340 highway.
The length of the section to be transferred is 110 m., With an estimated area of ??1,400 m2.The assignment of this section, which to date belonged to the State Highway Network, does not impair the continuity of the state road network or its functionality.
It is a section that lacks a service function for long-distance traffic.Likewise, the change of ownership does not entail any transfer of capital, generating no financial obligations or expenses for the General State Administration.
