The budgets for the next year reach the figure of 12,301,154.17 euros.
As stated by the government team spokesperson, Raquel Rodríguez, "these are budgets of great social commitment, which maintain the tax freeze, the reduction of the IBI by 25% and the maintenance of bonuses and exemptions in rates and tributes , both of a business nature and in the case of discounts in the Tax on Economic Activities; IAE, Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles; IVTM, urban planning licenses and opening licenses; as well as in social matters with benefits for large families, people with disabilities or pensioners.
" One of the most important items is for social services, which totals 1,450,000 euros.
In this section, the local government has the collaboration of the Autonomous Community through the agreements of the Home Help Service by Dependence, the Service of the Early Care Center, Center for people with disabilities and the Day Center for the elderly . To all this, we must add the subsidies received by the Regional Government related to alleviating energy poverty, basic coverage for the family, integration of the Gypsy People, prevention of school absenteeism or drug addiction, among others.
On the part of the regional government, there will also be investments such as the Works and Services Plan, a biannual subsidy that amounts to more than 280,000 euros for the improvement of public roads in the municipality, in addition to the arrangement of the path of the Cemetery and Camino de los Abades with a total investment of the regional government of 700,000 euros.
It should be noted that investment in rural roads triples compared to 2019. This budget also contemplates salary improvements for the civil servant and labor personnel of the City Council, fruit of the negotiations with the union representatives in the consistory. Another budgetary priority is the creation of employment, as well as the reduction of the municipal debt, which is expected at approximately one and a half million euros in 2020.
Raquel Rodríguez highlights that "in the last four years, we have decreased the debt by more than 7 million euros and the objective is to end the legislature with debt 0 ". "From now on, we will be able to continue moving forward and carry out important projects to improve our municipality and guarantee the well-being of people from Lumbrera, and continue to maintain and improve public spaces and services thanks to serious, realistic and social budgets," concludes the spokesperson.
