| One of the main objectives is to collaborate in the financing of personnel expenses derived from the provision of services and care programs to women victims of gender violence through CAVI | The Regional Government has awarded a grant of 96,139.18 euros to the Puerto Lumbreras City Council, to maintain the continuity of the technical staff of the Center for Attention to Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI) of the municipality.
In this way, it is a matter of financing the personnel expenses derived from the provision of services and programs in relation to the care of women victims of gender violence, from different professional approaches; legal, social and psychological, in accordance with the criteria for action and coordination of the General Directorate for Women and Gender Diversity under the Department of Women, LGTBI Equality, Families and Social Policy. Through this service, individual and group treatment is offered to women victims of gender violence, receiving the necessary advice and care to overcome the consequences of the abuse they have suffered.
In addition, awareness-raising and prevention actions against gender violence will be carried out both by CAVI professionals and by the entity "Reinicia T" that manages the Program for Equality and Prevention of Gender Violence "Sensibiliza T" of the Autonomous Community. "These measures are intended for women victims of gender violence to be able to overcome the consequences of abuse and face their lives independently, providing them with the skills and psychological needs that are required," says the Councilor for Women; Toņi Navarro.
