The Socialists demand that the government team clarify if the festivities are going to be suspended to assess that the money is destined to increase security in the educational centers of the municipality. The municipal socialist group will present a motion in the next plenary session in September to again demand that the Municipal School Council be held, in order to guarantee the firm commitment to minimize the risks of returning to face-to-face classes. According to the socialist spokesperson, María Rosa García: "it is incomprehensible that, at this point, the Government Team has not convened the Municipal School Council, as we requested on August 25.
For this reason, in the next plenary session, we will present a motion to request that if the festivities are suspended, the money be used to carry out initiatives to prevent contagion in schools and the institute and that these measures be developed with the involvement of the main representatives of the educational community and the collaboration of representatives of all political groups.
We propose that initiatives that have been carried out in other municipalities be studied and evaluated, such as the installation of awnings to take advantage of available outdoor spaces, provision of individual protection screens, installation of air purifiers with HEPA filters that eliminate bacteria and viruses reducing the probability of spread, etc.
