That is why the City Council has launched a special cleaning operation to prevent possible floods in the municipality in the face of the autumn rainy season. In this way, the cleaning of the urban section of the Rambla de Nogalte riverbed is being undertaken, and in the coming days the sewer scuppers and gratings will be cleaned and refurbished to avoid obstructions and jams that could cause flooding or flooding.
In this sense, the Councilor for Works and Services; César Gázquez, points out that "with these tasks" we achieve that the rainwater has a quick exit and possible overflows are avoided.
This is a preventive measure that goes hand in hand with cleaning all the rainwater outlets ". On the other hand, the General Directorate of Roads of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructures is carrying out the clearing and cleaning of various roads in the municipality of regional ownership.
"Specifically, these tasks are being undertaken on the RM-D16, which connects the urban nucleus of Puerto Lumbreras with the district of El Esparragal-La Estación, and on the RM D-26, which connects Puerto Lumbreras through this district , with the RM-D620 highway that connects Lorca with Pulpí.
