The municipal group of the Popular Party in the Puerto Lumbreras City Council will take a full motion for the council to urge the Governing Council of the Region of Murcia to consider approving programs aimed especially at SMEs to support the digital transformation of the companies.
In addition, the promotion of R + D + i + d is requested to achieve a public and private investment objective of 2% of the Gross Domestic Product in 2020. In Spain, companies with less than 250 workers, which would fall within the definition of small and medium-sized companies, represent 99% of the business fabric.
Therefore, we owe the sustainability of our economy to them.
They are the basic pillar, since it creates 74% of employment in our country. New technologies can help SMEs make the big leap, since they have put at their disposal tools capable of helping them gain productivity.
In this sense, the digitization of small and medium-sized companies is of utmost importance.
"For this reason, it is necessary to help change the business culture that should accompany the digital transformation.
It is necessary to value that for every two jobs that are lost in the economy prior to digitization, five new jobs are created in the Internet economy and, therefore, since we are immersed in a digital revolution that creates new possibilities for employment, being this more sophisticated and innovative, our SMEs are facing a great opportunity ", said the councilor of the Popular Municipal Group; Rocío Martínez.
