A project that consists of adapting an existing center in Puerto Lumbreras, to turn it into a day center for people with mental illness, this being the first center with these characteristics in the municipality and thus being able to attend them, without having to travel to neighboring municipalities.
The premises that are the object of the works are located on Camino de las Casicas, in the Old Municipal Slaughterhouse, and will have an investment of close to 60,000 euros.
The center will have the dependencies and the necessary equipment that establish the norms for its normal operation, including kitchen, dining room, treatment room, occupational room, activity rooms, living rooms, changing rooms for users and staff, or warehouse, among others. "This installation was a commitment of this Government team, and a real need so that these patients can be treated as they deserve in our municipality, without having to leave Puerto Lumbreras, and today, as we celebrate World Mental Health Day, We must be aware of the importance of offering services such as this Day Center and articulate a set of strategies that support these people and allow them to cope with an illness or mental health problem.
