It is undemocratic that the government team fails to comply with the motion taken to plenary session by the Socialist Party and approved by the rest of the political groups for the installation of HEPA filters in the classrooms. The secretary general of the PSOE of Puerto Lumbreras, María Rosa García, considers it unacceptable that the government team acts with total disregard for the legislation.
On the one hand, it fails to comply with the participation regulations in force in the Puerto Lumbreras city council, which was approved by the Popular Party itself in 2016 and according to which political groups must be represented at local tables and, specifically, at the Municipal Table Of the School Council.
On the other hand, it is a total lack of respect for democracy and Lumbrerenses to breach a full agreement approved by the majority of political representatives with the only vote against the Popular Party. The Socialist Party requested that all parties involved in education meet to reach an agreement and guarantee the installation of air purifiers with HEPA filters in classrooms, with the assistance of all political groups, even more so after the motion was approved.
which was thus included in its agreements.
However, we have seen a desperate race forwards by the government team, bypassing this agreement, trying to avoid its compliance, and seeking to justify its refusal to buy the devices with picturesque arguments.
Democratic institutions such as the Municipal Plenary are there to make decisions that must be fulfilled.
Without going any further, the neighboring municipality of Lorca has been a clear example of capacity for the most important thing: to provide more security for children in schools and their families. The socialist group considers improvisation and the lack of diligence of the government team in this matter inadmissible, since now, in November, we see how they announce some measures by making a pause to pretend that they are beginning to worry about a problem that already began in September.
knew. This is what the general secretary and spokesperson of the PSOE, María Rosa García, has made clear: ¨Lumbrerenses wonder how a government team fails to fulfill a full agreement with absolute impudence, where is the money from the party game and if there is something more important than the safety of families in what to invest it.
The contempt for legality by this government team is continuous, but this is already a lack of respect for parents, who have tried to convince by different means that the installation of the aforementioned filters is not appropriate, and they are they are the ones who are finally paying for the gadgets out of pocket.
