The opening of all nursery schools would help family conciliation and reduce the number of children per classroom, which would help reduce the risk of contagion of coronavirus. As time goes by and the scientific community deepens its knowledge about the coronavirus, the evidence of aerosol infections increases.
Recently, studies have been published showing that aerosols are, by far, the main route of transmission and contagion of the coronavirus. Aerosol contagion occurs mainly in closed spaces, therefore it is there where precautions must be taken, adopting the measures already known to all, such as ventilation, masks, the use of filters and the reduction of ratios that allow increasing the distance between people. On the other hand, there are cases of parents who cannot take their children to nursery school due to lack of places, which causes problems in reconciling work and family life. According to María Rosa García, general secretary of the PSOE of Puerto Lumbreras, "the opening of nursery schools that today remain closed would make it possible for all parents to have a place for their child.
In addition, opening all nurseries can reduce the number of children in each one of them, thus contributing to the reduction of the risk of contagion ". For this reason, the Municipal Socialist Group will propose, in the next Municipal Plenary, that the Government Team carry out the necessary steps aimed at opening, as soon as possible, the currently closed nursery schools.
