After the recent aggression suffered by our colleague last Tuesday, September 24, while providing assistance at home in the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, from TRANSPORTE SANITARIO REGIÓN DE MURCIA we want to express the following: - We deeply regret the difficult and unpleasant situation that our colleague in health emergencies had to experience, especially when he limited himself to carrying out his work with rigor and professionalism.? The service focused on attending a patient from the Lumbrerense municipality who was in a seizure.
After the 112 warning call, the professional immediately requested the presence of the police officers given the aggressiveness he was transmitting.- The violent attitude of the patient hitting the wall forced our colleague to leave the home at the request of the parent and to wait in the street for the arrival of the police.
Situation that caused the reprimands and shouts towards the health personnel and, in turn, the increasingly violent alteration of the patient.- At all times, and after the aggressions and insults received by the patient, the professional tried to protect himself and contain the violent situation as far as possible until the arrival of the local police officers who managed to control the situation.-For all the foregoing, WE STRONGLY CONDEMN any type of violent act towards health services personnel, especially towards ambulance technicians who regularly expose themselves to harassment and assault during the performance of their work.-As we have already done personally, we want to publicly show all our support and solidarity with our colleague in the face of what happened and we put at his disposal the resources of the company that he may need.
We also ask that this group be respected since all of our professionals carry out an exemplary public service that is essential for citizens.
